I enjoyed his friendship in High School. You were so talanted with your Radios. He was always trying to explain how it works, but never did figure it out.
Pete was my first friend when we entered Bloomington Junior High School as 7th graders. He was in my home room, so we saw each other every day there and ate lunch together, along with "Wickey" Weaver and Lloyd Ruckman. I felt very intimidated by going to such a big school, with so many strangers. Pete was a big guy and it felt great to have his steady, friendly presence. He taught me how to buy a lunch in the cafeteria, since I had never done so before then. He was a funny, nice guy who obviously grew into a wonderful adult, husband, father and engineer. He died so young; we could have benefited from more of his presence.
