Carol Baird (Emmett) (Smiley)

Hello Everyone.  Haven't been on since before the reunion.  Glad to read the messages from all who have been participating.  Jim and I have been doing some traveling still down to Florida a couple times, Spent a couple weeks in the Branson, MO area at Big Cedar Lodge and took tours around the outlying areas. Saw Joseph at the sight and sound theater.  Went to Dollywood but were on a bus tour so didn't get into Gatlinburg.  Next year maybe.  We are home for the months of Nov. and December keeping in touch with the kids and family during the holidays.  Taking off for a month in January to Sebring, FL.  Visiting with friends in and around that area.

A fifty-fifth reunion sounds great.  How about a mini - just get together for an evening out at least once a year between now and then.  I would even go for every three months for the locals and then anyone out of town visiting could let us know and join us.

My condolences to all who have lost loved ones this past year.  We are fortunate to have loved and lost instead of never having loved at all.  Keep those here today close and forgive all grudges (don't hold any to begin with) just love and cherish while we are together on earth and remember we are all working toward getting others to know Jesus as our savior, who forgives all, and loves each and everyone of us no matter what.  All we have to do is say I am sorry and ask for forgiveness and accept Jesus as our savior.  So simple.  Just do it.

Take care and look forward to chatting with you all.  Carol

I've been wondering how to get action on OUR site, so I've come up with "My Mist Memorable Christmas".  Let's share our memories whether it be from high school, college, military, family, or ....................

We haven't had a lot going on in the site so I just thought......

The winner will when an all expense trip to my house for a game of pool . That is if you live across the street LOL

I'll post mine a little later.  Nancy guess mine.

So Joe, you want a  "misty"  memorable Christmas (teehee) ? I'm all for more action on the site. Sounds like a great idea. And I'm sure it involves family - that's what life is about, loving, sharing, caring family.

So nice to hear from you Carol - and all your adventures. You're not sitting around doing nothing, like some of my friends do.

I just spent a month in Sacramento with my whole family, 4 of whom live overseas and I don't get to see them often unless I want to fly 24 hours to get there....ugh! Attached is a photo of my new grandchild, Milani Hannah is 7 months old and it was nice crawling around on the floor with her.

Hope to hear from all of you more often, Donna

This is the way I might get everyone to look at the site.  Please log-in, this way we (Nancy, Joanne and Donna) can see who actually is looking.

Oh, and MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I'LL POST MORE IN OR AROUND THE NEW YEAR.

OK, I'm sitting with my laptop and nothing to do (too darn good outside 9 with windchill -7).  Why aren't we somewhere warm, like Hawaii?  Actually, I'd like to see how many of you log-in to read this or just read the message??????

The site lets me see (and also Nancy, Donna, and Joanne) who visits the site by logging in.

And what do you think of the ADS?  These let the site be free.  This is on trial for about a month by ClassCreator.  If too many administrtors don't like it.....well you know.  Or if you don't like it I can start paying for it again.

I try to change the background every now and than with something revelant.  I found the old convent playing around on Facebook.

Well enough rambling, see y'all later (or maybe sooner)

Love,

Joe

P.S.

If you ever have the chance, listen to "These are the Days" by Van Morrison.

Hi Joe - nice to hear from you and keeping in touch. Yesterday was a record breaking day here in Phoenix, 81 degrees but it'll only be 76 today (sigh). Because of the bad weather back east, metro Phoenix is packed with visiters. More people here than ever before. Roads, restaurants, tourist sites, everything is packed with people wanting a warmer winter. But, Hawaii is much better - you know, it's been reported that people living in Hawaii are the happiest. I sure know why, it's stunning and beautiful there. Been there twice and didn't want to leave. I was 20 feet from a firey volcano on the Big Island. What excitement!

I'm sure most classmates won't mind the ads on this site, no need for you to pay any longer and thanks Joe for all your help, monetary and otherwise, you've given us so far keeping this page up.

We all would love to know how our classmates are doing so post your family and events here on a regular basis and don't forget about our facebook page also, THS Class of 1962. You can visit with classmates, share what's going on in your life, upload your photos, etc...

Thought since I can't drive or get out of the house much (surgery and SNOW) I'd just type up some info.  The freeby for this site has some draw backs:  can't do the conversation, limited storage in messages (can't send any pics), and a few others mostly admin stuff.  That being said, no more than the hand full mates (no I'm not in Auusie) that are logging in, I'll just let the status quo until it's time for another get together.

Hope everyone is fine.

I was very sorry to hear that Louise Dietz-Davis lost her battle with cancer last week. The last I heard from her she said she was really going to fight this thing. She wanted to be here for her children and grandchldren for a much longer time. R.I.P. my friend. God Bless you and your family.

It's hard to believe that this sight will be 3 years old in Sept, and we have had nearly 20,000 log-ins.  Remember, just typing in ths162.com doesn't count, you must log-in with your e-mail and password for the site.

That being said,  do you like the new format with the ads?  This freeby limits the site somewhat from having to pay.  One thing I can't post anymore pictures in this message board and you can't carry on with someone if ther are singed in at the same time as you.  Maybe as we get closer to another reunion (get together...) I'll switch back to a paying format.  We'll see.

Still, enjoy the site, post any news about what's happen' in your life, or just anything.  We'd loved to hear from you.
