I still miss my friend, Marni. I remember when she came to Trinity Grade School in about the fifth grade and her dad was the city manager. Then tragically he died at a young age and left her mom to raise Marni and her brother and sister. I spent a lot of time at Marni's upstairs apartment on Broadway St. in Normal. We remained close friends all through high school. When Aldy and I were living in New Orleans she came for Mardi Gras one year and we sure had a great time together. The last time I saw her was shortly after the l992 class reuion, which I missed, and all she could talk about was the fun everyone had. I wish I could walk into our 50th and find her there.
