Judy and Jeff, too funny. Can't believe it's taken me two days to figure out it's a "hoax"... and I work for an Internet company! So funny. Of course now I'm running too.

Who can skin a moose faster, Jennifer or Judy?

Many of you my remember Ellen Levandoski, well at the reunion I found out that Ellen has MS (multiple sclerosis) a random disease that affects two to three times more women than men. Ellen is very active in MS fund raising; I decided I wanted to help make a difference myself.
I have donated to the MS society through Ellen. I would love to challenge our class to help make a difference in her life also.
This is her donation site: http://main.nationalmssociety.org/site/TR/Challenge/MNMChallengeWalkEvents?px=1707061&pg=personal&fr_id=7920

Blessings!

BTY- I was at the Eagles / Steve Miller / Joe Walsh concert at the Met, one of the best times I had. But I thought I paid more than $10.

Bret - Bite your tongue! Any resemblance between me and a certain candidate is purely coincidental.

Pass the lipstick, please.

Pam,
Though I did not know you in H.S. nor did I speak to you at the reunion, though I should have (we were at the same table for a while), I appreciate what you stated above. Thanks for being real! God bless you as well. Kirk

Don,
Thanks for posting Ellen's story.
She like other friends I have with MS are very courageous people. Not enough is been found to find a cure (YET).

I did not think to mention the foundation.
I have donated to MS for over 20 years.

I recommend everyone, if not MS, find a cause to fight for, MS; Cancer Research; Kevin Sharp's make a wish foundation for children with cancer. I have known Kevin since 1997 and he has been a huge part of this program.

Find something you care about and can relate to and give.
It does not have to be much, even once a year. It all helps someone somewhere.

Thanks Don for bringing this to our attention.

To those who were at Jake's last night, it was definitely not boring! Welcome back to Minnesota Pete Herbst! Sue Pete....we missed you last night. But somehow we had fun without you there. :-) No doiken!

Sue Ellen M. Peterson (Polson)

Yeah Kirk, I sure I missed big fun! Kirk suggested we all go to the Homecoming game on October 3rd vs. Jefferson and then we thought we would go to the Sportspage afterwards. Sounds like a good time! Hope to see a bunch of you there. I am going to tell Craig to post something on the site.

Just a heads up I think that is what the class of 83 is doing. That is supposed to be their reunion get together pretty lame don't you think. They have never had a orgainzed function in all these years. They don't have a Craig and all the other helpers I guess!

Sue Ellen M. Peterson (Polson)

Their having the reunion at the Sportspage!?! That is lame!

Betty M. Pate (Jorgenson)

Another option to Sports Page could be the Eagles Club which is where the old Country Club Supermarket used to be on Old Cedar. It's kind of a dive but it would be a bigger area. Can anyone verify if the Class of 1983 is going to the game only or they are having their reunion at Sports Page?

09/18/08 11:53 AM #557

Dona M. Trabant (Inman)

Sports Page! You've got to be kidding?
My grand kids still like their burgers and pool table but it is not a place for a reunion! Thank god we had people like Craig, Wade and all who take their positions to heart. Goes to show, the newer ages do not take responsibilities serious. (then complain about it later).

So, who all is going to the football game on the 3rd and or the fall colors run on the 4th?

Tracy Bruley, Dressen
I may have been mistaken I think They might be going to Majors not Sports Page it is just a word of mouth thing nothing formally organized so who knows how many will show up.

Welcome Aubrey,

I have been reading this stuff almost daily, and it keeps me up to date on classmate activities. I can't join in on a lot of things, being in Arizona, but it helps be feel like I am still a part of everything. I know you will enjoy this sight. I sure do.

Betty Pate, I saw you added some pictures to your profile. Great pictures!!!! I love the tribute to the blower at Portland. Great sense of humor.

As for Robert Olsen, I have communicated a couple of times since this site has opened and Robert, Aubrey and I are suppose to get together for a beer sometime.

Robert Olson if you are reading this lets firm up a date and invite the rest of the JFK class of 1978 to join us....

Sue -- awsome shots! Love the humor too.
You were always one to crack a joke. Gotta love it.

So -- when is the next get together at Jakes -
and, exactly where is it?

I'd love to get out before I have my ankle cut open.

Dona, I know what you are going through. I got bucked off a new horse (he is out in Maine doing great now) my foot got caught in the stirrup. I had a spiral fracture in my leg and it broke at both ends, they missed all the bones that were broken in my foot for 7 weeks (even though I kept telling them that I thought it was broken also )it has been since May and I am still limping. Let me know how your surgery goes and please take care. Pam

Hey folks, we have an unofficial, part two of the reunion! SPREAD THE WORD. On Friday, October 3rd, Kennedy plays their 2008 Homecoming Game. I know many of you don’t like football. That’s all right. Anyway, after the game, folks are going to meet at the Eagle’s Club on Old Cedar.

Eagles Club
9152 Old Cedar Avenue S
Bloomington, MN 55425

For those of you that do like football, we will sit on the side of the stadium away from the band. And let’s pack out the Eagle’s Club!! See you there Jeff Richard's and gang. :-) See you there Sue Pete and Betty P. See you there Dona!!!

09/20/08 10:43 AM #568

Judy D. Brevig (Haus)

Betty - I know there's more where those pics came from ... where's my disc?

Pam - The misdiagnosing of broken bones must be a trend. My son had a "sprain" in June that ended up needing surgery in August because it was a break that started to heal in the wrong location. He still has a couple pins and a cast on it. Hope you are mending well.

Aubrey - It's about time you joined us!

Kirk - Don't be offended that some of us don't like football and it just happens to be your entire career. We won't hold it against you! ;-) And btw, the only time I ever attend a game is to see my kid in the band.

Does anyone know if Craig is sending a blast email to our class re: the Oct 3 game & Eagles Club outing? Don't know how many classmates are still checking in with this site.

Kirk, thanks for the invite, I will give Aubrey a call and send Robert Olsen a note to see if I can get them to come. Not sure about the football game but the eagles club sounds good.
