Tim Fisher, age 41, of Mpls., suddenly on Dec. 24, 2001. Employed with Suburban Cab Company. Survived by his best friend and beloved wife, Candy; children, Josh, Nicole & Daniel; mother, Donna; brothers, Mark & Michael; sister, Beth; beloved mother-in-law, Frances. Preceded in death by father, George; and brother, Daniel. Graveside service Friday, Jan. 4, 3:00 PM at Bloomington Cemetery, 104th & Lyndale, Bloomington. Memorial service Friday, Jan. 4, 6:00 PM, with visitation with family 4-6 PM at Minnehaha United Methodist Church, 3701 E. 50th St., Mpls.

I'd heard Tim had died a number of years after the fact. I don't recall how I heard about it. I hadn't spoken to or heard from him for many years before that. But even after all that time I remember feeling the loss. I feel it right now.Tim was so cool. He looked cool, acted cool, did cool stuff. I wanted to be like him. But what was really cool about him was how warm and kind he was. Linda wrote how he could make you feel special. He did. He made me feel special. At times when I struggled to feel good about myself at all.
Tim introduced me to the first person I was ever truly in love with. That it happened to be a guy wasn't an issue for him (which of course now it isn't), but for me at the age of 15 I was scared to death of my own feelings not to mention what others thought. Tim was happy for me because I was happy. He helped me to accept myself because I felt accepted by him. He used to call me "brother". Timafee was my best friend and connection w/ Minnesota. I loved him and will miss him dearly. I always sent cards and he'd always respond.(One of the most genuinely nice men on the planet and it was a better planet with him here). I was wondering why my cards were being returned and I gave up trying to find him. I never dreamed he had passed away. Just thought I lost him. He will be in my heart always!!Lizi D.
