I am truly saddened to hear that Carl passed on. I hung out with him during 5th and 6th grade, and he was a great guy.

One fond memory I have is when Carl and I were school patrol guards for F. Wilson Pond Elementary school. We'd be out there early in the mornings, even the cold winter mornings, and stay out in the late afternoons, waving those bright orange flags on aluminum poles as we helped the little kids cross the street safely. During the quiet moments when there weren't any kids to ferry across, Carl and I would occupy our time using the flag poles to chip away at the wooden telephone post, creating little dimples in the wood.

As we grew older, we went our separate ways and hung out with other friends, but whenever Carl and I passed each other in the school hallway or on the street, we'd always greet each other with, 'Hey, how's it going?'

Thanks for being here Carl, although your stay here was too short! Also, thanks for taking the baritone and letting me play the saxophone instead. That's another story.

Hey Kim, remember breaking the blackboard in Mrs. Slaughter's class in 6th grade? :) Really good memories of Carl!

I remember Carl had such a nice smile. I'm sad to know we can't celebrate this reunion with so many of our classmates. I remember that broken blackboard incident too . . .
