Obituary of Maureen Hutnick

Maureen Hutnick was called to be an angel on August 26,2017.

Maureen, the daughter of Ed and Lucille Hoffman she was born on August 13, 1947. Maureen's childhood was spent in Maywood NJ. She often shared her special memories of spending time on her fathers boat in LBI. Maureen continued to enjoy the beach her entire life.

Maureen graduated from Bogota High School and attended Bergen Pines School of Nursing. On August 9,1969 she married her true love and best friend George Hutnick, together they were blessed with two children, George and Amanda. George and Maureen raised their children in Ogdensurg, NJ . Maureen spent much time with her good friends and neighbors. She enjoyed bowling and earned several trophies. When her children became young adults, she pursued an interest in real estate and became a licensed agent. Maureen found her forever career. In 1993, George and Maureen moved to Sea Isle City , she quickly became a familiar face. Her strong will and determination was admired by all that knew her. Maureen always had the owners best interests at heart, she often went above and beyond in maintaining trusting relationships with her clients. Maureen retired from Re-Max in 2015 where she was the rental manager. Maureen prided herself on the rental business she built and valued her relationships with owners.

Maureen enjoyed reading and watching mysteries, listening to the oldies, cruising in her convertible, socializing with friends and shopping. Maureen and George are members of the Sea Isle City Yacht Club and enjoyed special events and meeting friends for dinner at the club.

Maureen was a generous wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.  She loved making sure her family had things they needed, especially buying her grandchildren their first pairs of shoes. She prided herself in making people feel special and appreciated . She always remembered birthdays and special events and was very generous to all of her loved ones. She also enjoyed the hunt for a bargain and was awesome at finding them.

Maureen will be greatly missed by her husband George, son George and Michelle Hutnick of Ogdensburg,NJ, daughter Amanda and Patrick Tomlin of Ocean View NJ, her grandchildren Samantha and Stephanie Hutnick, Dylan, Colin and Lilly Tomlin, a loving family and extended family of friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday August 31 at 1:00pm at the Sea Isle City Yacht Club 4487 Venicean Road, Sea Isle City NJ . Donations in honor of Maureen may be made to www.justcausewalk.org
