Sandy, I don't want you to not have a rose by your name. You were my friend but we lost touch and shouldn't have. We use to go to 007 movies, concerts at the fairgrounds and drive around in circles downtown in my VW bug. Just like in American Graffiti!
You decided that the pain of living was too great and you took your life far to soon. You gifted me with your best-friend Karen (Nesmith) who has been my precious "sister" these last 40 years. I hope we will hang out once again in eternity.

Melody, Sandy was a very good friend of mine as well. She gave me the nickname MarkO when we hung out together. I remember Sandy and I in Home Economics together. I remember her love of Coke and French fries.

I lost touch with her before I went into the Navy. I came home on leave one time to hear she had taken her life. I was very torn up about it and upset at her. I wish I could have been there to stop or help her.

I am so happy to see others also remember Sandy.  Melody and Mark, we were some of the few to have known her but it was for too short of a time.  I still think of her everytime I see or hear mention of a Marx Brother movie as she loved Harpo, and her zeal for all things Beatte.  I was happy to be the first one to show her the Oregon coast and to go camping up at McCall.  She was always so excited for new things and experiences.  She now has other good friends Rick Johnson and Roger Hankins with her and I know they are all looking down on us with smiles on thier faces.
