Pals with this kid since the first grade. Even went into business with him in the lawn care and odd jobs but dissolved that partnership when we decided we couldn’t support our aspiring lifestyles on the income it provided and when we realized grown ups were being paid over ten times what we could negotiate for our services. He told me not to take it personally because grown ups were just more generous with guys who had a wife and kids. We weren’t familiar with the term “exploitation” but knew we weren’t havin’ it even if we didn’t know what it was called.

Robert was very supportive and encouraging when I made it to the first reading group so I looked up to him for that. We went to different Jr. Highs but attended Borah together. A few years after college I told him how I always thought he had it made but he told me I was the one who had it made and gave me a perspective I’d never appreciated before. He hasn’t been on this earth for many years but I still miss him and remember a lot of the fun we had and lessons we learned. I am very fortunate to have known him.

Bob,

A class act. The special gift of giving focused attention. A joy to know.
