James "Jimmy" Wesley Scott, 53, of Boonville, Missouri passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at the University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. Mr. Scott had suffered a stroke on November 5th. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 pm Sunday, November 20th, at William Wood Funeral Home in Boonville. The funeral service will be 1:00 pm Monday, November 21st , at the funeral home with burial following at Clark's Chapel Cemetery of Franklin, Missouri. Jimmy was born July 31, 1958 in Boonville, Missouri to Gene Eldon Scott and Geraldine Shirley Gilmore. He attended school in Pilot Grove, Missouri before transferring to Boonville and graduated there in 1976. Jimmy was a well known brick-layer in the mid-Missouri area creating his own business, Triple S Masonry. Before forming his own business, he was an insurance agent with Banker's Life & Casualty specializing in Life and Health. He was a long time member of the Eagles in Boonville. Mr. Scott was everyone's "teddy bear" and go-to-guy. He always had a good word for everyone, a smile on his face and love in his heart. He enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents and numerous aunts and uncles. He leaves behind four children: David McFarland of Fayette, Chad Scott of Columbia, and Brick Scott and Kayce Scott, both of Boonville. He also leaves behind his two brothers, Robbie (Laura) Scott of New Frankliln, Rusty (Tena) Scott of Boonville; two sisters, Sandy (Ricky) Friedrich of Boonville, Donna (David) Lorenz of Pilot Grove; numerous aunts, uncles and way too many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nephews and nieces to mention.
