ISSAQUAH, Wash. - Ronald Galen Barnett, 58, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1998, at a Seattle, Wash. hospital.

Memorial service: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Flintoft's Issaquah Funeral Home. Graveside burial will follow at the Lower Hillside Cemetery.

Ronald Galen Barnett was born March 17, 1940, in Santa Maria, Calif. He was raised in Borger, Texas, were he graduated from high school. He served with the U.S. Air Force from 1960 to 1969. Following his discharge, he went to work for Seaboard World Airlines and Flying Tigers. His career as a pilot included several other European airlines and at the time of his death, he was a pilot for Federal Express. While working at Modern Air in Berlin, Germany, in 1971, he met Anna Rose. They lost contact with each other for 25 years, but were reunited in 1995. They were married in July 1997, and moved to Issaquah that same year. Ron enjoyed flying and also playing tennis.

Survivors: Ronald is survived by his wife, Anna, of Issaquah; sons, Bart Barnett of Austin, Bret Barnett of Houston and Galen Barnett of Fort Worth; and brothers, Don of Irving and J.C. Barnett of Borger.
