Shirley Heath

Shirley Jean Drake Heath of Stinnett passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018.

She was born July 9, 1940 in Chester, Arkansas to Carol and Ona Mae (Marston) Drake . Shirley graduated from Phillips High School. James Borden Heath and Shirley (Drake) were married in Borger on March 15, 1958.

Mrs. Heath was a caring homemaker. She enjoyed painting as a hobby. Many friends and family will know her by her nickname "Daffy". Her husband said he named her this because of her love for Daffy Duck. Conner, her grandson, says she was "ornery...but she meant well". 

She was preceded in death by her parents. Her survivors include: her husband of Stinnett; 2 daughters: Rose Mary Heath Whisennard and Darrel Alderete of Texhoma, Texas and Melinda Gail Dowers and husband Jeremy Hernandez of Flagstaff, Arizona; 1 son Russell Heath and wife Danielle of Brandon, Florida; 2 sisters: Carlene Brown and husband Morris of Baytown, Texas and Patricia Poling of Kansas, Oklahoma; grandson Jim and wife Adrienne Kirkland of Enid, Oklahoma; grandson Connor Dowers of Flagstaff, Arizona; grandson Samuel Hernandez of Flagstaff, Arizona, grandson Tristan Donatello of Brandon, Florida; a granddaughter Sylvia Hernandez of Flagstaff, Arizona; 2 great grandsons: Karson and Korbin of Enid, Oklahoma.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Brown's Chapel in Stinnett.
