Tura Ruth Starcke

July 13, 1940 - August 4, 2022

Tura Starcke of McGregor, Texas died early Thursday morning, August 4, 2022, at the age of 82.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Victory Chapel McGregor, 605 N 3rd St. McGregor, Texas 76657. Pastor Curtis Jones will be officiating.

Mrs. Starcke was born July 13, 1940 in Phillips, Tx. She passed to her heavenly home on August 4, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Tommy C. Starcke. Her parents Calvin and Geneva Jones.

Mrs. Starcke is survived by her four children and their spouses: Tura Ann and husband Ramiro Zapata, Vickie Jean and husband Kyle Heib, Angela Ruth and husband Doug Warshaw, and Eugene Calvin and wife Koni Starcke. There are 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Her sisters, Faye Campbell of Clifton, Tx, Roberta Norwood and husband Tommy of Oglesby, Tx, Rose Fitzhugh and husband Jim of McGregor, Tx., and brother, Curtis Jones and wife Joyce of McGregor, Tx.

Mrs. Stracke accompanied her husband in service to our Lord in the capacity of pastor’s wife, missionary, church secretary, and women’s ministry for 50 plus years. She was a LVN by trade and often served in this capacity on the mission field and various youth camps, nursing homes, and hospitals. She has been called “Mother” and “Sister” by many around the world. We recognize Bonnie and Mike Hughlett of Houston, Tx, as well as the students at the Bible School that she and Rev. Starcke served in the Philippines.
