In Memory

Linda Boyce (Markholt)

Our classmate Linda Boyce Markholt died December 3, 2014, from metastasized melanoma.  Honoring her request, no memorial service will be held.  Those of us who knew her were happy that she attended so many of our gatherings in the past few years, including the 50th Reunion events and our group 70th and 71st birthday celebrations. Her lifelong friend Louise Lovelace Kelly tells us that Linda did not have a large family and the class functions were very special to her.

Linda's obituary in the Everett Herald was published December 21, 2014:

Linda K. Markholt (Boyce), 71, Snohomish, Wash. returned home on December 3, 2014.  Linda is survived by her son, Al Markholt, Everett, Wash.; and her brother, Bill Boyce, Kennewick, Wash.; lifelong friend, Louise Kelly, Snohomish, Wash. and a wide family circle including Maki, Aplin, and Rasmussen families, and a great many friends.  She was preceded by her mother, Kathryn L. Ness (Boyce); father, William C. Boyce; and her sister, Karen L. Anderson (Boyce).  Linda was gregarious and loving, with a life full of interest in her world and everyone's unique part in it.  Linda was born in Butte, Montana and transplanted at an early age to Bothell, Wash., of then rural northern King County, Wash.  She grew up with horseback riding and the outdoors as a natural lifestyle, both ultimately foundational in her environmental perspective.  She was a skilled beautician, naturalist and modestly an herbalist.  Linda is in peace with the Lord and much loved by all.
