Mary Schwab (Mcgillivray)

Mary Schwab (Mcgillivray)

Mary Elizabeth (Schwab) Mcgillivray was born October 18th 1949 in Auburn Washington, and passed away on May 14th, 2019 due to heart failure in Tacoma Washington.

Mary started her career enlisting in the United States Navy as a Wave.  Her father Joseph Schwab who was a Chieftain acted as her enlisting officer. She tackled a few jobs in her lifetime. Early on with the Bothell Police Derpartment as an officer. Then with King County Police as a 911 dispatcher for 25 years. And finally with AAA of Washinton as a dispatcher for 20 plus years.

Mary was preceded in death by her brother Joseph Schwab, and her husband Daniel Mcgillivray.  Mary loved to read, loved spending time at the casino and thrift shopping. She leaves behind her daughter Lisa Mcgilllivray of Seattle Washington.

I remember Mary from her dispatcher days for the sheriff's office. She was often the dispatcher on our frequency for the north end and, like all good dispatchers, kept close tabs on her deputies.
