Our classmate Bill Hamblin passed away 4/7/2019 from complications following a tramatic brain injury. He is survived by his son Kevin. At this time memorial services are unknown.
I met Bill in the 5th grade and we stayed good friends throughout high school and after. He and Charles Slusser and I shared an apartment the year after high school and then Bill and I joined the Army on the buddy system. Chuck joined a few months later. After basic he went to Germany and I went to Vietnam and then to Germany. We lost contact over the years but reconnected at the 50th reunion and saw each other off and on since then. Bill has had some pretty significant health issues the last few years and almost didn't make it about 3 years ago. He was a very good friend and will be greatly missed.
Bill was yet another blessing in our lives. He was a friend to all of us and to all who knew him. He was a good person. God less Bill, his family, and all of his friends.
