Obituary from Greenbriar County West Virginia:  Michael Thomas Plantz, 53, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2002 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Fairlea. Born Oct. 21, 1948 in Dayton, OH, he was a son of Blanche Wingler Plantz of Renick and the late Vellar Plantz. Mr. Plantz earned a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from Arial Polytechnic Institute, Arial, NY following his undergraduate degree at the University of Washington in Seattle and worked for Bell Labs. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, Rebecca P. Beck of Albuquerque, NM, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be Saturday, June 8, at 1:30 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg with the Rev. Joanne Scott officiating. Friends may call from noon until time of the services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to the American Cancer Society.
