I just ran across this while doing some research in Ancestry. I'm very sad that we didn't learn about this sooner. He was a good friend, but lost touch over the years.

Obituary of Robert Haggard
Robert “Bob” Haggard died on June 11, 2019 in Olympia, Washington. Bob was born in Woodinville, Washington on January 2, 1945 to Al and Louise (Vreeland) Haggard. He grew up in Woodinville, Washington on his parent’s farm. He graduated from Bothell High School in 1963, and then married his high school sweetheart, Betty Willey, in 1966.
After high school, he joined the U.S. Marine Reserves and trained as a helicopter mechanic. He took his new skills and went to work for the Continental Can Company, where he worked as a machinist for several years and later on became a manager. He and Betty bought a house in North Seattle and had two sons, Todd Robert Haggard and Darren Lee Haggard. In the early 1970s, he transferred to a Continental Can plant located in Olympia, where he lived until his recent passing.
Bob enjoyed the outdoors, both fishing and hunting. He spent much of his time off camping, hunting and fishing all around Washington with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed summer days in Puget Sound, cruising and fishing in his boat. The Puget Sound, Banks Lake, the Pot Holes and the ocean beaches were a few of his favorite places.
Bob is survived by his wife, Betty; sons, Todd of Everett, Washington, and Darren of Olympia, sister, Joanne Hodges; four grandchildren, Kayla, Tyler, Jalyn and Kaden; great grandson, Sean; niece, Denise Sable; and nephews, Gary and Gregg Crawford.
A MEMORIAL will be held for Bob on Saturday, September 14, 2019, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Columbian Hall, 6794 Martin Way E, Lacey, WA 98516.
