In Memory

Bill Wierschem

April 3, 2014

I received the reunion information in the mail for dad the other day, and I thought I would reach out to you and let you know that dad passed away February 7, 2014.  He was diagnosed with lung cancer April of 2013, went through some treatment and in the end the treatment did not work.   The last 2 months his family was by his side 24 hours a day taking care of him until the day he left this earth.

I know that when there was reunions, he would mention them but just not sure why he didn’t attend.  Bill’s wife had passed away 11 years prior and that was a huge impact on his life, he missed her so much.

I had tears in my eyes as I read this and wished so much that he could be here to go.

We hope this will be a fun event & friends will get to reunite.

Take Care,

Brandie Seamons (Daughter of Bill Wierschem)  seamons@cableone.net

Attached is dad's obituary, and I think I might need to give some back
ground information.

The nick name "Puffer" is the only name I can remember anyone calling dad
when I was growing up. Sounds like he got that name after a night of
"partying" sometime after High School & that name was with him from that day
on. No one knew him as "Bill" or " Billy" in the town that we lived in, if
you didn't call him "Puffer" they just didn't know who you were speaking
about.

When dad married my mom, she had 3 children. After mom & dad were married
together they had my brother Todd & Me. Dad adopted one of moms sons also.
The obituary is short, but sweet he would be mad if we fused over him too
much or told too much about him. The funeral home was full of all the
people who loved and adored him.

Thank you again for your kind words.

Brandie
