A sad passing of one of the early grads from BCHS ..  Jane Webb Crum, class of 1943.

We did not want to simply put a note on the website about Jane's passing without pointing out to all of us her history in BC.    An early leader at BCHS  and her family was a cornerstone of  the building of BC.  A friend to so many of us over the years.   Her father P.S. Webb built the Boulder Dam Hotel ...

The hotel was built for W.F. Grey, who saw the opportunity for a hotel in the "government town" of Boulder City. The hotel was completed in 1933. P.S. Webb built the hotel and purchased it from Grey in 1935 as part of his tourist agency. Webb advertised heavily, turning the hotel into a destination resort. Webb sold the property during World War II, as the tourist business had declined precipitously.[3]

To see Jane's obit, just go to the BCHS website and click on the "In Memory"  tab and click on her name.  Her services are Jan. 23rd in Los Angeles.
