Ertis North

Ertis Leon North, 79, of Las Vegas, died September 6, 2003. Born on August 30, 1924 in Fullerton, Calif., and resided in Las Vegas for 74 years. He was a retired electrician and served in the U.S. Navy on a submarine during WWII. He was married to Donna for 50 years. They have four children, Ertis II, David, Terry Lohman and Lori Webster; three grandsons, Matthew, Michael and Daniel Webster; and great granddaughter, Tori. He is also survived by his brother, Gene North; and sister La Vaunta Burt. He was a member of American Legion Post 8, Pilgrim brother LOOM 1763 and 50 years with IBEW Local 357. He graduated from Boulder City High School in 1942 and Woodbury College in 1947. Worked with scouting and civic air patrol. He supported Variety School and St. Christopher School. Services will be at 12:40 p.m., Thursday, September 11, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Odyssey Hospice, 4011 McLeod.
