ARDEEN SEARS Ardeen Wood Sears, 83, a longtime resident of Boulder City, passed away Jan. 5, 2012. She was born April 3, 1928, in Farmington, N.M., to Roy and Thelma Burnham Wood. She married William Sears and enjoyed 62 years of marriage before he passed away in May 2011. She was an active member of the Beta Sigma Phi Tri Delta and Cactus Rebekah Lodge. Ardeen was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many different callings over the years. She worked off and on for the Bureau of Reclamation over the course of her life. Before the onset of Parkinsons, Ardeen enjoyed sewing, scrapbooking, socializing with her friends and mostly spending time with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters, Karen and her husband, Leonard De Joria of Overton, and Jayme and husband, Tyler Phillips of Henderson; son-in-law, David Moore; six grandchildren, Kaycee Allen, Karee Moore and Austin, Devin, Dakota and Tanner Phillips; and a great-granddaughter Emma. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gaylen Moore. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be tremendously missed. She will live on in our hearts forever. Funeral services will be at noon Thursday, Jan. 12, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Buchanan Blvd. in Boulder City. Visitation will be prior to the services 11-11:45 am..
