Hello Chuck .. 11/26/2016
I doubt you remember me but I was a Boulder City kid from 1940 to graduation in 1958. Went away to college and then returned to BC , then LV. I administer the website for BCHS and am on the Reunion Committee. . OK enough about who I am.
My current project has prompted me to write to you. I am fixing up a Basketball jacket , I got (sort of commandeered) when they were retired in 1953+- from BC High School, 63 years ago. I got it cleaned, looks new and I am going to put it on a frame, then donate it back to the school, as long as they agree to hang it up. I went online and found the Annuals for 1951 and 1952 and in both there was a pic of the team wearing the jacket , so I will include that in the framing. I need to find a garage sale today to find a suitable frame.
While looking on line at the 1951 Aquila I saw a pic of you and Joe Kine with TY COBB .. what an awesome surprise. I want to put that pic on our BCHS website as the "pic of the week" but, want some more background, if you can fill me in ?? Be sure and go to our website and register and look for this pic .. www.bouldercity60.com
At a reunion a few years ago I gave you a pic of an awards dinner along with Tom Donnelly .. he was my boss for years, a great man, and the father of two classmates, so I thought it was neat.
I hope you can add to the Ty Cobb story .. Thanks for any help.
