She was born Sept. 15, 1935, in Silverton, Colo., to Joseph and Mary Anesi Dalpra. She attended high school in Boulder City and graduated from college with a bachelor's degree.
Frances married John F. Brooks on Aug. 10, 1963 in Virginia City. He preceded her in death in 1979.
Frances was a high school and middle school teacher in Carson City schools for 33 years. She was a member of the Catholic Church and Delta Kappa Gamma.
Among her survivors are son, John R., of Carson City; daughter, Kaycean (Jason) Buma, of Reno; sister, Reola Rampone, of San Diego; and granddaughter, Delaney Buma.
