In Memory

Willard Julian - Class Of 1956

Willard Julian

Dear Friends,

It is with a sad heart that I convey to you the passing of Willard Julian, Sunday September 25, 2022.

Mimi called me to  give me the sad news. Needless to say, I am shocked , as it was totally unexpected.  I  had communicated with him prior to and after the accident. Mimi and I expected Willard to recover. fully.

I had called Willard and knew of him falling, breaking his femur.   He was recovering, at home, after surgery to correct a severe break in his thigh bone. Several screws and plates were required to  correct the break.   Things seem to be going well, but early last week he could not get out of bed.  He fell asleep and never awakened. Mimi stated that Willard also had some heart problems which contributed to his passing.

Mimi is alone without family in Boulder City.  Willard and Mimi had moved across the street from their previous address  on  A street. .

This is the current address in case you want to contact Mimi

Willard and Mimi Julian              telephone (702) 721-1943 and (610)427-1110

A memorial may be held in the future ?   If I hear of a memorial service, I will let you know,

For now, I am recalling the great friendship we all have together.

"Jesus said, For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life "   and  "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and the life; he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live."

I believe we will all meet together again, because of Jesus Christ's atonement.

I send you my love. "till we meet again."

Thank you for the posting , Roy. I had not heard of his passing. I would see Willard and Mimi from time to time while visiting in Boulder City. One of our conversations turned to Willard's leaving Boulder City to attend Harvard. I commented how hard that must of been, having lived in such a small close knit community to face the intellectual, sophisticated Harvard campus. He said that he got on the bus to leave and tears rolled down his cheeks all the way to the Dam. In reality those of us who knew him also knew that he had nothing to fear. He was exactly where he should be and he was successful. I was especially close to Georgia and I know that he was a good brother to her. They enjoyed their hikes in the desert together and card games every weekend. He is missed.
