Comments:

I attended Nevada Collge of Commerce in 1957 and worked at Titanium Metals for 6 months and then went to work at Nellis Air Force Base for the Fighter Weapons School.. Met my husband in 1958 and married him in 1959. We lived in Las Vegas until Stan was assigned to go to Saudi Arabia for 13 months and I moved back to BC and lived with my parents for 3 months and then I moved back into our trailer and lived in Moores Trailer Park with our daughter Debbie. When Stan came back he was assigned to Nellis again and we moved back to Vegas. Our son Kevin was born May 30, 1963 and our daughter was born December 19, 1965. Stan was assigned to Turkey in October of 1965 and was able to take us with him. I was able to get a job as secretary to the Commander of an Army Detachment. That was a fun job even though it took me 1 & 1/2 hours to travel by bus to get to work and another 1 & 1/2 hours to get back home. The best thing was that Stan and I were able to travel to the Holy Lands in March of 1967 prior to the war there. We were lucky that Stan got stationed back to Nellis until he was assigned to Korea and I went to work for the State of Nevada. Stan retired in 1975 and went to work at the Review Journal. I retired from the State and went to work for myself selling novelties and gifts in different venues. I retired from all work 2 years ago. We have 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. I moved to Cypress Place Senior Living in Ventura, CA on 2/1/2016. I really love it here & I am a few miles away from my son Kevin. Unfortunately my husband does not want to leave our house in Las Vegas. He has dementia & seems to be happy there for now, so we are separated from each other for now. I continue to pay all the household expenses & hope he will change his mind & join me here. I don't know if I will be able to come to the reunion this year.

School Story:

I was Damboree Queen in 1955. Seems sad that this was the highlight of my school years, but I was very shy and selfconscious. I wore glasses at a time when it was not popular. It didn't matter that I was unable to see and needed to wear them. I was bullied and teased a lot.

It is with a heavy heart that I must inform my Classmates & friends in other classes that I have lost my beloved husband (Stan), of 57 plus years on 1/3/17. His Memorial will be at the Veteran's Cemetery on 1/17/17 at 10:00 a.m.
