Murray lived on New Mexico Street, close by my home on D Street.  We had many great experiences together and our friendship continued to this day.

Murray was a great athlete. He could play any sport well, but concentrated his efforts on basketball.

Murray was an altar boy at the Boulder City Episcopal Church where he served with Doug Robinson, Mike Hyde, Dick Dossett, and Bill and John Sharp.

I think Murray was an Eagle Scout as well?

In elementary and junior high we played basketball in the alley behind Murray's house, which was close to the home of Ken and Karvel Rose.  We had some great games in the alley.  Murray developed a hook shot that continued improving in high school. He was hard to beat one on one.

Murray was the Captain of the Boulder Eagles Basketball team in 1956.  That year Henderson won the State Championship, however, Murray lead our team to a victory over Henderson on Henderson's home court. We always reflected on what could have been had we not lost by one or two points to Henderson in the Zone Tournament that year.

Murray loved Boulder City and had numerous friends there.

Murray will be missed by many.
