Beverly was a classmate of the Class of 1956. She was enthusiastic, talented, friendly, outgoing, and a true Christian.

Beveraly passed away February 14, 2008 after a valiant and couragous battle with cancer.

Born Beverly Esther Sutherland on September 12, 1938 to Walter and Roberta Sutherland in Cortez, Colorado.

Beverly graduated from Boulder City High School, 1956.
Continuing her education, she attended Bakersfield Community College and graduated with an AA in 1958.

She met and fell in love with Don W. Zimmerman. They married on August 30, 1958 in Bakersfield, CA. Together, they had three daughters - Heidi Connellly, Kristga Beck and Suenette Watnick. Their family continued to grow with the addition of grand children Laurel and Courtney Warnick; Samantha, Jessica and Jonathan Connelly; Joy Campbell and lind Williams; and great grandson Keaton Barnes.

Music has always been a large part of Beverly's life. Active in music ministries in all of the churches she was affiliated, large and small, from the 120 voice choir of Van Nuys Baptist Church to a three person worhip team.

A lifetime highlight was in September 2001 when Beverly went to the Dominican Republic on a mission trip with 14 others from her church. Then in the fall of 2006 she and Don cruised to Alaska for 14 days. And finally in July 2007 she and Don took the entire family to Cancun for 6 incredible days, where she parsailed, went on catamaran rides, swam in the Caribbean but mostly enjoyed the time and company of her family.

Beverly loved to vacation in their motorhome. Some of her favorite places in the motorhome were Rincon and Morro Bay.

She was blessed to be a "stay-at-home" mom until the kids were grown and then she enjoyed spoiling the grandkids.

Beverly made the 50th Class Reunion video of those classmates who had passed away prior to the 50th Reunion. Her poetry regarding deceased students will long be remembered.

Beverly was a loving, courageous, wonderful Child of God. We all miss her. The Class of 1956.
