Richard Leland Roper, Sr. 79 of Boulder City, Nevada went home to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, November 17, 2018 surrounded by his family and friends.
Richard was the youngest of three children born to Euva and Wally Roper, Sr. raised in Boulder City, NV a 1957 graduate of Boulder City High School with collegiate studies at ASU, US Army Veteran followed by a career in Lighting with IATSE, Local 720.
Richard is survived by his wife of 27 years Cathy, his Sister Pat and (Grant) Couch, Sister in Law, Shirley Roper, his son Scot and (Carina) Roper, Lisa and (Gordie) Ruiz, and his beloved grandchildren, Scot II and (Lauren), Storm, Talia and Sophia along with his numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be at 11:20 am, Monday, Dec 17 at So. NV Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, NV. In lieu of Flowers the family has requested donations to be made in honor of Richard to Michaels Angel Paws or Goldens Without Borders. Here is the warm , loving note Cathy sent to Barbara Savoy .. we thought it would be appreciated by all of us.
Hi Barbara,
This email is not easy for me to send......Rich fought long and hard to deal with his Pulmonary Fibrosis however it caught up to him and he past away Saturday Evening, November 17. He was a trooper through it all but his body just gave out.
