THOMAS BURT Thomas "Tom" Burt, 70, lost his battle with cancer and passed away peacefully, at his home surrounded by family, July 25, 2009. A retired laser technician in the entertainment industry, Tom, a  Local 720 member, worked with countless shows on the Vegas Strip, including Siegfried & Roy and Lance Burton. Tom enjoyed many hobbies, including water skiing, motorcycle and car racing, fishing and  playing  guitar.  Always the life of the party, he could tell a joke like no other. He was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Rae; father, Aldon; mother, Thelma; and brother, Paul.  Tom is survived by the love of his life, his wife, of 46 years, Julie; daughter, Dani (Willie) Johnson,; son, Tommy (Angela); grandchildren, Chris Austin and Kelsey Perez; and great-grandchildren, Haley Austin, Jewelz, Armani and Nina Perez. Tom was loved by all who knew him and will surely be missed. "We love you Grandpa!" Memorial is private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society.
