Kathy was one of my best friends. She and her mother and father moved to BC about 1956. Her father worked for the Park Service. She had a brother who died as a child. Kathy contracted leukemia a few years after we graduated in 1959 and she died in 1963 or 1964. The last time I saw her she was bedridden but planning on continuing her education.
She was always pleasant and fun to be around. With Judy Bachman Curtis, we attempted to hike to the Colorado River from the corrals. Didn't make it as we ended up at a cliff so we sat and ate our sack lunches. Her father met us where we had begun and we shot his pistol - a large bore one with a tremendous kick.
