All kids have a 'best friend' and Jerry was certainly mine. From the 4th grade through college years we spent a lot of time together, rode our bikes all over the desert, fished at the lake and with his family on the Colorado River down at Nelson, played sports together through high school. We served as president and vice president of the student body as seniors, the most memorable duty as such was putting the flag up every morning and pulling out the bleachers for assemblies ! And yeah, we drank a lot of beer together college summers. Many, many great memories, I'll miss him ! Don Welsh

So sorry to hear about Jerry's passing. He and I were good friends all through our school years. He and his family (brothers Mike, Tommy and Steven) lived at 652 (I think) Ave H. I lived with my family lived 5 houses up the street at 632 Ave. H. I did many many things with Jerry and his family. We both played sports at BCHS and also American Legion baseball. I remember one tournament we went to in Reno, and his parents came and picked up and went to Yellowstone park for a few days. Great trip among many, which included lots of fishing trips to Lake Mead and also the Colorado near Nelson, NV. Anyway fair winds and following seas my good friend and may God Bless You and Keep You always.
