Monty joined the Navy after High School. He was an engine mechanic and spent a year on Midway Island. He also went to Hawaii, Hong Kong, the Phillipines and Viet Nam. Afterwards he served a 2-year mission for the LDS Church in the North Central States and Canada. He then met and married me (Lucy Wilcock). We lived in Boulder City as he worked at Lake Mead and ran the tour boat for the marina and piloted the yacht for Caesar's Palace. He also had a small landscape business and did valet parking at the Sands Hotel for several years. In 1991 we moved to rural Harpster, Idaho, but he became ill with a Parkinson's condition, which he finally succumbed to in 1996.
