Frances Fiscus Mayfield

I love retirement (from Levi Strauss & Co.) and since I am now a widow I have been traveling a lot more. I go to visit my children and their families a lot. I belong to a book club and I do volunteer work at the Boulder City Senior Center. I am also active in my church. It seems that I am always busy. I have two little dogs that keep me company and I walk them most every day. I also go to curves to help me keep fit. At our age we have to do a lot of maintenance on the body. I enjoy working in my yard (except for pulling weeds).

When I look at my old school pictures I can't believe I wore my hair that way (really short) or the full skirts with about two or three can can slips to make them stand out. I remember how uncomfortable the slips were to set on. I remember it was really a treat when we girls were allowed to wear pants. Most of the clothes were 100% cotton and was no fun to iron. I think that is why I try only to buy wash and wear today.
