Linda Garrett

Cedar City, Utah - Linda Nelson Garrett, age 74, passed away on August 31, 2018. She was born in St. George, Utah on September 16, 1943 to LeRoy and Nola Nelson. Linda grew up in Las Vegas, attending Rancho High School and graduating from Boulder City High School. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served in many callings over the years. She loved the church and the people in it.

Linda is survived by her husband, Al Garrett. Also, by her two brothers, Bill Nelson (Donna), and Perry Nelson (Janet). Between Al and Linda, they had 5 children. Those that survive Linda are: Tiffany Smith, Allen Garrett, Wendy Hutcheson (Todd) and Holly Klosowicz and ten grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter Tracy Garrett.

Linda and the kids moved all around the country with Al, who was in the Air Force. She made new friends everywhere she went. Linda was the kind of person who served those around her, both family and friend. She will be missed, though she will continue serving on the other side of the veil.

Services will be held on September 8, 2018 at 11:00 am at the LDS Chapel at 320 South 1840 West in Cedar City, Utah. A luncheon will be served after the service. There will be no viewing or graveside services. Arrangements were made under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. Online condolences can be sent at www.sumortuary.com.
