DR. LARRY GREGERSON

Dr. Larry Earl Gregerson passed away Aug. 27, 2012, in St. George, Utah. He was born to Duane and Elizabeth Woodbury Wood Sept. 2, 1944, in St. George. He was later sealed to Eugene Hanks and Elizabeth Woodbury Gregerson. Larry was raised in both St. George and Boulder City. He served an honorable mission in Argentina for the LDS church and held many callings throughout his life. He graduated from Dixie College, UNLV, and USC School of Optometry in 1972. In 1968, he married Gloria Joyce Leavitt. Together, they adopted and began raising five children. After her passing, Larry married Nancy Jensen Easley in the St. George Temple Sept. 10, 1983. Larry practiced optometry for 30 years in Boulder City, and in 2002, Larry and Nancy returned to St. George, where he practiced for 10 more years. Larry always appreciated good music and fine books. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gloria; brother, John Woodbury Gregerson; and sister, JoWane Whitney. Larry is survived by his wife, Nancy; children, Kathleen (John) Prada, Mary Ann (Bill) Lassa, Robert (Cheryl) Gregerson, Roy (Amy) Gregerson, Bradley (Jill) Gregerson, Christopher Easley, Linsey (Jacob) Worster; eight grandchildren; and sister, Charlene Reid. Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m., MST, Saturday, Sept. 1, at the Morningside Chapel, 879 S. River Road, St. George. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday, Aug. 31, and again Saturday morning from 11 a.m.-noon at the same chapel. Interment will follow the service at 3 p.m., PST, at the Bunkerville Cemetery, Bunkerville.
