Clark Knauss, 61, died July 1.
The Nevada native was born in Lsas Vegas, Nevada on Nov. 15, 1943. He grew up in Boulder City and moved to Reno in 1970.
Surviving are his wife, Karen; daughter and son-in-law Tiffany and Jason Marty: daughter, Stephanie Knauss: sister Gretchen Knauss: grandchildren, Justin and Peyton Marty: step-mom Frances Knauss and step-brothers, Roger Kennedy and Richard Knauss.
Clark founded Lucky Concrete, Inc. in 1980 and served as president of the company for more than 25 years.
He was also part owner and vice-president of Reno-Sparks Ready Mix.
He served as president to the Associated General Contractors, as well as serving on several committees within the organization.
An avid outdoorsman, Clark enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, motorcycles, and shooting sporting clays.
At different points in his life he got his pilot's license, learned to fly fish, race motorcycles, and enjoyed camping and boating.
A Celebration of Life will be in Hidden Valley today, July 14 from 7 to 8 pm.
Clark's family is organizing a memorial shoot to be held in his honor at a later date with the proceeds going to a scholarship fund.
