ROGER CORRY OLSON, 77, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born August 15,1946, in Cedar City, UT to Alfred Corry Olson and Dewey Dix. He married Gloria Jo Hirschi August 10, 1985, in St. George and they were sealed in the Cedar City Temple on June 10, 2021.
Roger was raised in Cedar City, UT before moving to Boulder City, NV where he graduated from BCHS in 1964.
He worked at a variety of businesses & eventually opened an insurance company in Las Vegas, NV, where he worked alongside his wife Gloria until they retired.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren, traveling, fishing, golfing, trips to the mountains, and most of all, playing his guitar.
Roger is survived by his daughter Cori Lynn Olson, stepdaughters Terece Worrell, Heather Harris, Hollie Miller, his sister Julie K. Proctor, and his grandchildren Victoria Anne Olson, Monika Aldred, Alysha Barfuss, Bryant Aldred, Eron Aldred, Eva Harris, and Weston Harris.
He was preceded in death by his mother Dewey Olson, father Corry Olson, sister Sharon Mayes and his beloved wife Gloria J. Olson.
Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023, in St. Geroge, UT at the St. George City Cemetery, 650 East Tabernacle Street at 10:00 AM, followed by a reception for family and friends at the LDS Chapel, 290 South 700 East at 11:00 AM.
