Our dad attended BCHS but unfortunately moved to California and graduated from Van Nuys HS. He often spoke of reconnecting with his BCHS classmates. Thank you for making him feel welcome...The Brown Family.

Richard L. Brown, 76 of Hamilton, passed away on Palm Sunday, 13 April 2014 after a yearlong battle with cancer. Richard was born on 21 November 1937 in Culver City, CA. He graduated from Van Nuys High School. Shortly afterwards he joined the Air Force. During this time in the Air Force, he met the love of his life, Sachi, and they were married in 1962. Richard was a Vietnam War veteran and retired from the Air Force in 1977 as a Master Sergeant. They then moved to Muldrow, OK where he owned his own business as an over the road truck driver. He drove for North American, Schneider, Land Star/Ranger and worked a brief time in Yellowstone National Park. In 1986 Richard and Sachi discovered God's country (the Bitterroot Valley) and moved to Hamilton, MT. Richard and Sachi both loved Montana and enjoyed hunting, fishing and hiking the many trails in Bitterroot together.
Richard and Sachi were married just shy of 50 years and Sachi preceded him in death: Richard is survived by his three sons, Chuck and his wife Serena of Oroville, CA, Jim and his wife Lisa of Van Buren, AR, and Gil and his wife Cathy of Tahlequah, OK. He has five grandchildren Zack, Justin, Kyle, Janae, Jackson and one great grandchild.
