KAREN DAVIS Karen Virginia Davis, 67, passed away unexpectedly May 23, 2016, in Reno. Karen was born Aug. 31, 1948, in Portland, Ore., to Virginia Bryant and Jefferson Davis. She grew up in Boulder City, then graduated from Rancho High School in Las Vegas in 1966. She moved to Reno in 1974, where she worked for First Interstate Bank and the City of Reno Public Works Department. She graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1999. After graduating from college, she married her long-lost high school sweetheart, Ritch. They spent a two-year honeymoon in Australia and New Zealand, and the rest of their years together wandering the western United States. Karen's infectious smile and zest for living brightened the world around her. She lived her life giving generously of her time, attention and resources to friends and family alike. She loved to knit, crochet, walk, eat cheese, drink wine and photograph everyone, especially her grandchildren. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She spent countless hours spoiling them any way possible. Karen considered her greatest accomplishment raising her daughter to be a successful adult, she proudly recited Linda's resume to anyone who asked. Karen leaves behind husband, Ritchard Golden; brothers, Ron, Baxter (Jeanne) and Mike (Linda Milum) Davis; daughter, Linda Bell; and stepdaughters, Andrea Golden and Krissy (Bob) Tucker. Grandma Karen will be sorely missed by her grandchildren, Kyle Cook, Jacob Tucker, Clara Valladares, Avry Tucker, Amari Valladares and Gabe Golden. Karen also leaves cousins, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and countless friends who loved her dearly. Memorial service will be private.
