I spoke to Steve's brother Brian and he said that Steve passed away in 2005.  I was at the funeral it was standing room only with the crowd flowing outside of the church.  He was a good man and his brother Brian is still one of my good friends.

Steve Sweany was taken from us much too soon in (2005).  I was at the funeral along with Tom Menk, Dan Zwisler, Barb Clabo, Denis Bova & several other classmates that I can’t recall.  Steve was a great friend to us all,  loving father to his two daughters, & a talented Architect.  Miss you good Buddy!

So sorry I never saw Steve again after high school. He was a favorite discovery when I arrived in '69. RIP.

Steve was an incredible long time friend of mine .My wife, Denise and I spent alot of time together with Steve and his wife Diana including numerous trips to Aspen and the wine country in Napa. He also designed the interior of my liquor stor in Aurora. We had alot of good times and memories as long time friends!  He definitely has been missed and went way too early!! Rest in Peace Brother!!    Denis

Steve will be missed tonight. He was a dear and special friend from the time we met in Mrs.Piekenbrock's Soph French class until the time he passed. We were always laughing and passing notes.( Mrs.P was not amused.) Later he became friends w my husband Carter, too. He designed two homes for Carter when Carter was a home builder. Steve was such a talented architect. I like to think that Steve will be with us in spirit tonight! Rest In Peace Steve.
