Janene Wride (Groll) VIEW PROFILE

Janene Wride (Groll)

Our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend returned home to her Heavenly Father May 19, 2002 after a courageous battle with a brain tumor. She was surrounded by her family and dear friends.

Janene was born May 19, 1972 in Salt Lake City to W. Thomas and Elaine Wride. She married Tracy Amos Groll in the Salt Lake Temple on August 8, 1996. She grew up and spent most of her lifetime in Bountiful. Janene attended Bountiful High School, Ricks College, Study Abroad in Israel and graduated from the University of Utah with a BS degree in Behavioral Science and Health. Janene loved the outdoors- hiking, camping and cross country skiing with her husband, her family, friends and others. She and Tracy loved to travel together having visited many locations throughout the U.S. and England. Janene was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many areas including Relief Society, Stake Missionary, Primary and Young Women. Janene was an accomplished harpist and she loved to share her talent and music with others, playing for many private and public gatherings. She also loved photography. She has created beautiful and well organized photo albums for her family. Janene led a beautifully unselfish life, truly without any guile but full of service and love to others. Words cannot express how much we loved her and she us. We look forward to the day when we can once again embrace her.

Janene enjoyed many joys, blessings and highlights in her life but among the greatest was the birth of her son, Chase. She loved him in life and will always in eternity.

Janene is survived by her beloved husband, Tracy, Bountiful; most precious seven month old son, Chase Thomas; parents, Tom and Elaine Wride of Laie, Hawaii; brothers and sisters; Michael (Chris) of Bountiful; Margo (Jim) Ferrin of Orem and Rick (Shannon) or Portland. In-laws, Glen and Nancy Groll of Centerville and their family and many wonderful nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved dearly and they loved her.

Special thanks to the many ward members and friends that surrounded and supported her and her family. Your love and support will always be cherished and never forgotten.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 23, 2002 at the Moss Hill Ward, 455 South 1200 East, Bountiful, Utah. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Thursday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services.
