
Michael Scott Tinsley, 39, of Idaho Falls, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, at his home.
Mike was born Sept. 19, 1972, in Bountiful, Utah, to Allen Tinsley and Carolyn Hansen Tinsley. He grew up and attended schools in Bountiful. He continued his education at Weber State, where he earned his bachelor's degree in clinical lab science. He received his master's degree in business from the University of Phoenix.
Mike married Hillary Enfield of Kaysville, Utah, and together they had three daughters. They were later divorced. On March 24, 2001, Mike married Amanda Elizabeth McKenzie in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple, and two sons were born to them.
Mike worked as a medical lab scientist and was currently working at Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was an Eagle Scout.
Mike enjoyed building remote control cars and racing motorcycles, reading and everything outdoors. He loved animals of every kind. He was fun-loving and enjoyed learning new things.
Mike's survivors include his wife, Amanda; and his sons, Benjamin M. and Zachary C. Tinsley, all of Idaho Falls; daughters, MiKell H., Lauren N. and Madison R. Tinsley, all of Clinton, Utah; parents, Allen and Carolyn Tinsley of Panguitch, Utah; brother, Deron Tinsley of Farmington, Utah; and sisters, Ka-ren Lemmon of Bountiful, Kristin Pack of Bountiful and Diane Jensen of Panguitch.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Funeral services for Mike will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. His family will visit with friends from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, and from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to services, both visitations at Wood East Side. Burial will take place at a later date.
