Sorry to see that there is no obituary for Rick. Though I do not know the circumstances of his death, I did see Rick back in 1980 in Oxnard, CA when I had moved there for a short time between stints in Brazil. Rick had been in some trouble, but seemed to be on his way to a better future, so I was sad to hear that he had passed on at such a young age.

Rick was part of a gang of guys who hung out in high school that included Bob Kammerle, Erich HIll, and my brother Marc and me. He was fun to be around and was very smart. He left in our senior year to go to the U of U, and at that point I think we all lost track of him.

I'm glad I got to see him last time. He is missed by those who knew him.

Rick was very involved in school his Junior year.  He was in the school musical with me and many others.  He was always so fun to be around.  He was a Yell Leader, partnered with Cindy Haslam his Junior year also.  I was sad that he left to go to early college.  We really lost contact with Rick and did not hear of his passing for several years.  He was way to young.

Thanks to Kathy Haslam for finding his obituary and his grave marker at https:www.findagrave.com/memorial/129051726.
