In Memory

Carolyn Asay (Webb)

Carolyn Asay (Webb) was born the first of seven children on September 21, 1951 in the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. She spent her childhood years in Rose Park and North Salt Lake. She loved dancing to the Beatles, the Beach Boys, Neil Diamond and Simon and Garfunkel.  After graduating from Viewmont she worked at Primary Childrens Hospital as a Dietician. She married  Craig Webb in the Salt Lake temple in 1972 and had 2 beautiful children- Michelle and Natalie. They bought their first home in West Valley where she raised her family.

She struggled with depression and chose to join her heavenly Father when her worldly burdens seemed too great to bear on June 7, 1987. She was remembered as the fun spirited friend, a great cook and a loving mother. She is survived by her 6 siblings Linda, Doug, Jon, Debbie, Brenda and Joe and is now comforted by her Grandparents, Mother Cathy and Father Doug. Everyone that knew Carolyn loved her and will always remember her.

This tribute is just so wonderful for me to see and remember Carolyn the way she was in younger years.  I reconnected with Carolyn in the early 80s while she was working as a dietician at Primary Children's Hospital.  My daughter was inpatient at that time and Carolyn was her dietician.  We had some great laughs and good chats.  I remember her death a few years later and attending her viewing and seeing her young daughters there, which broke my heart.  Carolyn was so nice, kind and sweet, and I will never forget her.

I miss Carolyn and everytime I drive along Orchard Drive in NSL, I still remember her and the good times we shared together.  She was a great friend, an excellent cook (I was always very jealous of her cooking abilities) and was always willing to share her talent. We had many fun times together during high school and after. I was so happy when she married Craig and had her sweet daughters.  I don’t think she ever realized the impact she had on my life. She is a beautiful woman who is sorely missed!
