From an article that appeared in the Deseret News at the time: Jared Prescott's warm view of life was captured in a scholarship application he prepared for Brigham Young University in 1990. "I always try to follow four classroom rules taught to me by Mr. Ralph Ashby, my calculus teacher at Viewmont High School," he wrote. "They are Thing Big, Prepare Well, Work Hard and Live Right."
