Craig Larry Christensen

March 2, 1956 — January 30, 2024

Craig Larry Christensen (67) passed away on January 30, 2024, surrounded by his loving wife of 46 years and his family. He was a fighter until his last breath but still joking and trying to schedule his next fishing trip.

Born March 2, 1956 to Marva and Don L. Christensen, Craig lived his rambunctious young life in Bountiful, Utah with his five siblings, Steve, Lynda, Jed, Jodi, and Tina, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends nearby. He enjoyed spending summers boating and taking trips to Lake Powell. After graduating from Bountiful High School, he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1975 to Leeds, England.

Upon returning home he met the love of his life, LuJean Nelson and somehow convinced her to marry him. They were married on December 17, 1977 and began their adventure living in Bountiful, Utah. Craig often said LuJean was the best catch of his life!

Craig graduated with a bachelor's degree from University of Phoenix in Business Management. He completed the last semester in bed recuperating from a broken neck while his wife attended classes taking notes.

Everyone who knew Craig felt his big heart and giving nature. He was resilient when faced with adversity and even when ill he always continued moving forward with a sense of humor and a smile. His strong work ethic was passed or forced onto all his kids whom he was extremely proud of. He will be missed by his twelve grandchildren, with whom he spent countless hours playing games, pushing strollers, giving wheelbarrow rides, fishing, boating, having water balloon fights, and numerous other activities. Every minute he spent with them was precious.

Craig is survived by his wife LuJean; five children, Charlene (Ryan) Wilhelmsen of Queen Creek, Arizona, and Ryan (Nichole) Christensen of Eagle Mountain, Utah, and Jason (Megan) Christensen of Blackfoot, Idaho, and Josh (Amber) Christensen of Phoenix, Arizona, and Scott (Kimmie) Christensen of South Weber, Utah along with twelve grandkids that were loved and adored.

Friends and family may call Saturday, February 3, 2024, prior to funeral services from 9:00-10:45 a.m. at Windridge Ward Chapel, 1282 West 1875 North, Farmington, Utah. Funeral services will follow beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at Orem City Cemetery.
