BOUNTIFUL--Eric Allen Johnson, 21, son of Van and Cindy Johnson of Bountiful died May 8, 1999.

Eric was born October 11, 1977 in Pottstown, PA. Eric was an Eagle Scout. He graduated from Bountiful High School in 1996, an honor student with a 4.0 GPA. He attended the U on a full-ride scholarship until receiving his LDS mission call to Maracaibo, Venezuela in March of 1997. Eric served faithfully and diligently. He developed a deep love for the work and the people. Eric successfully completed his mission, but was diagnosed with cancer only four days after returning home.Eric is survived by his parents, Van and Cindy Johnson; his brothers, Russell, Michael, and Mark; his sisters, Rebecca (Perrett) and Natalie; his favorite bother-in-law, Steel; maternal grandparents, Robert and Adonna Patch; paternal grandmother, Hazel Bigler Johnson; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family expresses heartfelt gratitude for the TLC given by the Oncology and NCC units at the U of U Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at the Mueller Park Stake Center at 1800 South Mueller Park Road on Wed., May 12 at 11 a.m. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, and Wed. from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the church. Internment at Lakeview Memorial Park.
