Shelby Lynn Pavlacky was murdered on March 11, 1989, leaving behind her one-year-old son, Tyler Joseph. The man who murdered Shelby, Brent Nielsen, is still in prison at Lino Lakes. He received a life sentence, which at that time, was 17 1/2 years. There are review hearings every four or five years to determine if a release date should be set.
Shelby's spirit continues to live on through her son, and now Tyler is expecting a child, so that will make me a great-grandmother, and Shelby a grandmother! Wow. I have heard from so many of you who knew Shelby and it is so great to hear your words.
Hope that you all have a great time at your reunion - mine 40-year reunion is this year also.

I am so sorry to hear about Shelby. She was one of the nicest, sweetest people I knew. It breaks my heart to hear of this tragedy and for her sweet son to be without his mommy. We will never forget her, she was always kind to people and will be greatly missed. She lives on through her beautiful son.If you need anyone to speak at the hearings of the nasty person who killed her, let me know and I will be there. He will never get out if I have anything to say.
