Gail J. Howard July 31, 1953 - July 12, 2013 Gail Howard (Gail Doss) was born in Bremerton on July 31, 1953 and graduated from West High School in 1971, going on to earn her certificate as a veterinary technician. Gail loved working with animals. For the last 35 years, Gail lived in Amity, Ore., earning her CPEM from APICS, and worked as a computer applications analyst until Wegener’s granulomatosis took her health. She was a member of MENSA, and various other societies in Yamhill County. Gail is survived by her husband, Mike Howard of Amity; parents, Russ and Ina Doss; and brothers, Scot and Mark Doss.

I had many great and memorable experiences with my friend Gail. You know you have a good friend when years later you are still recounting the stories of your adventures. I would get her in some pickles, that's for sure. She was a very kind person, an encourager and good friend. She helped me be a better person. Through the passing years we didn't see each other much, but would connect via mail or email. I did get to visit her while on hospice. So difficult.
